Writing my wins of the week was a struggle for me this go round. I am running on empty in the energy department.
This week, has been especially tough, as I have had my rear end handed to me in certain areas of my life that I don’t ever talk about.
Regardless, life goes on.
I’ve got 4 major DIY projects going on, 6 new blog posts I am simultaneously writing, 10 recipes I am tweaking, 100 photos I need to edit, 40 blog posts I need to re-edit, AND a whole bunch of exciting things happening in the near future.
And, as an over-achieving perfectionist, when life takes a hard right into the ditch, I like to see how many things I can do badly all at one time.
But, there are not enough hours in my day to get it all done.
In the interest of full disclosure, after 4 hours of sleep last night, I am up at 3 am writing this post.
Let’s Talk Fashion Win of the Week
I’ve mentioned it before, David is the hardest person in the world to buy a gift for. MacGyver has every gadget known to man.
He’s also a big fan of the basic black t-shirt, cargo shorts, and flip flops……..365 days out of the year.
However, I struck gold for his birthday when I found some kicks that he absolutely loves. They are lightweight, comfortable, and stylish. They go well with shorts and jeans.
David’s review “It feels like I am not even wearing shoes because they are so light on my feet.”
It’s never too early to start your Christmas shopping. So, if you have a man in your life that is hard to buy for, check these shoes out.
They are made for women and children as well.
Let’s Talk Plant Wins
Succulents are all the rage right now. And, I found the cutest succulent Christmas trees.
If you are looking to spice up your Christmas table-scapes this year with something new and unique, check these out below.
Some of these even come with lights. But, whichever one you choose, you can always add your own battery operated lights with a timer once you receive your tree.
Let’s Talk Decor Wins
If you asked me the number one household chore I dread, hands down would be laundry.
Like I said earlier, I am a perfectionist. That means I thrive on checking things off my list PERMANENTLY…..
Or, at the very least, for the week.
Laundry is not checkable. It’s like all our clothes get in the basket and do something with each other before they endlessly multiply.
Anyway, long story longer…..in an effort to make doing the laundry a more pleasant experience for me, I have been re-vamping my decor.
This way, I can admire my pretty laundry room.
And, then I can wash the same load of clothes for the third time in three days…..because I forgot to put them in the dryer. You know that saying….. “Out of sight, out of mind.”
Here are these cute bottles I found that I absolutely adore.
And Finally,
Tomorrow is our 6th wedding anniversary. The photo of us standing outside our courtyard took me by surprise.
Oh, how things have changed.

I had completely forgotten about this shot that Crystal from Love Me Photography snapped of us.
When we took our engagement photos 6 years ago, the courtyard was bare. Not to mention, check out that gorgeous electrical box and the roof lines……
I did not have a good vision for what I wanted to create in this space. I was overwhelmed with “what if” I screw this up.
At that time, it was the biggest landscaping project I had ever tackled.
And, I certainly had no idea if I could successfully transform that space into something magical. It was a GIANT unknown.

So many tears, so much sweat, so much self doubt……am I good enough?
In spite of all that, I kept pushing forward and telling myself to go for it.
Today, this space takes my breath away.
I will leave you with this quote I absolutely love…..especially as a die hard perfectionist.
“You can. You should. If you are brave enough to start, you will.” – Stephen King
I’m headed to start a load of laundry…….:)
I hope your weekend is as AHHHHHH-Mazing as you are.
